Full Time Psychiatrist - Schenectady, NY

St. Peter's Health Partners is recruiting a full‑time Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist for Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. Ellis Psychiatry, with a 50‑year history, offers specialized services for adults, children, and adolescents within a collaborative interdisciplinary environment that provides outstanding mental health treatment and crisis diversion services. Position Details The psychiatrist will evaluate and treat adult patients with a broad range of mental health challenges, including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma‑related disorders, personality disorders, and dual diagnoses. Responsibilities include: Medication management Initial intake appointments up to 90 minutes Follow‑up visits up to 30 minutes Individual psychotherapy opportunities Lead psychotherapy group sessions (optional) Work schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8‑hour shifts or four 10‑hour shifts. Call is paid extra with a typical schedule of one weeknight (telephone only) every 4 weeks and one weekend (in‑person) every 8 weeks.
