Job DescriptionASGCO Virginia Service Branch Location: 2371 Lanier Road, Rockville, VA 23146ASGCO Manufacturing, Inc., a manufacturer and turn-key service provider of bulk material handling equipment, including; conveyor systems, conveyor components, screens and wear parts to the aggregate, cement, recycling and other bulk material handling industries.We are looking for Field Service / Conveyor Belt Technician to install, service and repair conveyor belts and components and who has experience on Industrial jobsites, including: Aggregate, Asphalt, Ready-mix, Quarries and or other types of Industrial / Manufacturing plants. We provide in-house training programs for advancement. Any construction or millwright type jobs including steel fabrication, welding, proper rigging techniques and any conveyor experience is a plus.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Install new conveyor beltChange out existing conveyor beltRepair or splicing of conveyor beltDemonstrate proper safe use of handling of tools, equipment and materials. Must be mechanically inclinedFollows instructions under the leadership of the Crew Lead to ensure all aspects of the job are covered to avoid any time-consuming delays as well as hazard and/or task training that may be required before the task beginsEnsures equipment is maintained in proper working order to avoid injury and work areas are kept clean/free of hazards which may endanger the health/safety of any employeeTake part of our Conveyor Technician training programs for advancement. Be willing and able to work a variety of schedules on-call, including dayshift, nightshift and weekends. Comply with all policies and procedures in Employee Handbook. RequirementsPrior belting experience preferredHigh School Diploma or GED, preferredReliable transportationRegular and punctual attendanceAbility to travelEffective communication is requiredMust be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independentlyJob duties will be performed underground and on surface, those interested must be able to obtain all applicable Federal and State underground and surface certifications; successfully complete industry approved training courses.
