The Structural Engineer will perform structural analysis and design for a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing structural calculations, developing construction drawings and details using CAD software, and coordinating with architects, other engineers, and project stakeholders. The role involves reviewing plans and specifications, performing site visits and inspections as needed, and preparing technical reports and documentation. The Structural Engineer will also support project planning, assist with permitting processes, and help resolve construction-related issues in a timely and professional manner.Develop structural drawings and specifications, perform load calculations, coordinate with civil and geotechnical teams, and support construction activitiesQualificationsStrong structural engineering and structural analysis skills, including the ability to design safe, efficient, and code-compliant structures.Foundational civil engineering knowledge to understand site conditions, materials, and integration with other building systems.Proficiency in structural calculations and engineering software tools to support accurate and efficient design work.Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) for preparing clear, detailed structural drawings and construction documents.Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or closely related field); 1+ year experience in structural engineering, advanced degree is a plus. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida or other states, or eligibility and willingness to obtain licensure within a defined timeframe.Familiarity with relevant building codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC) and local permitting requirements.Familiarity with steel construction and fastening is a plusEffective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements in an on-site office environment.
