DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will play an important part in supporting construction and reclamation projects that protect people and the environment. The work you do will involve the skilled operation of many types of equipment across a variety of work sites. As a Equipment Operator B, you will perform the following duties: Vehicle Operation: Operate motorized vehicles to haul materials and oversee loading and unloading Trailer Transport: Tow heavy trailers carrying construction equipment on busy roads Equipment Handling: Operate dozers, loaders, excavators, and tractors for reclamation work Site Work: Work in residential areas to install drainage systems and fill mine cave holes Maintenance Support: Assist with equipment maintenance, minor repairs, and record keeping Project Assistance: Perform manual labor and support project completion tasks Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,685.00 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); orTwo years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training. Conditions of Employment:This position requires that candidates possess a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL). Other Requirements:You must meet the PA residency requirement.
