Linen Processor/Presser

Reports to: Linen Manager Availability: Full-time shifts available Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, up to 40 hours a week plus overtime depending on the season. MS Events is a Party Rental Company in Charlottesville Virginia serving weddings, university and corporate events. We are in search of a team member to assist in our linen department. You will be pulling linen orders for upcoming events (grouping them together, checking for missing linens and preparing them for delivery). You will be sorting and washing linen in commercial washers (that have come back from events) and Pressing table linen with a partner using a commercial flatwork ironer. No experience needed. Just be willing to learn :) Must be able to stand for long periods of time Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs Must be able to bend and twist Must pay attention to detail Must be able to adapt to fast paced work environment and meet processing deadlines Must be able to read and write English Must comprehend basic math skills such as adding and subtracting Responsible for processing linen inventory Sorting soiled linen by color Washing soiled linen Pressing linen and napkins on commercial press Monitor process of drying linen Bag linen Sort through hangers Prepping and clearing rolling racks Setting up table for napkin processing Salary: $14.50- $15.50 /hour Job Type: Full-time Pay: $14.50 - $15.50 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week Schedule: 8 hour shift Ability to Relocate: Charlottesville, VA 22901: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
