Electronics Technician

The candidate will be responsible for PCB assembly, testing, debugging, and characterization of electronic devices. This role requires strong hands-on technical skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced development environment. This position is required to be on-site in Boulder, Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm.Job Responsibilities:Perform PCB assembly testing, rework, and modifications tasksAssist in testing and debugging of electronic circuits and systemsInterpret and work from electrical schematics and technical drawingsExecute device tests and document procedures and test resultsWork closely with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in electronic assembliesCapable of lifting and moving objects that weigh up to 25 poundsProcurement of lab suppliesMaintain lab safety and ESD awareness programMaintain calibration and equipment maintenance schedulePerform quality control checks on hardwarePerform other duties as assignedExperience & EducationA.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent on-the-job experience3+ years of hands-on electronics experience in a lab or manufacturing environmentQualificationsPCB Assembly & Rework: Proficient in soldering, desoldering, and component placement including SMD and through-hole components; proficient with both soldering irons and hot air gunsExperience testing and debugging common PCB assembly issuesAbility to interpret basic electrical schematics and layoutsExperienced working with digital multimeters and oscilloscopes; experience with spectrum analyzers is a nice to haveStrong attention to detail and methodical approach to problem-solvingAbility to work independently and follow detailed proceduresPreferred Qualifications (Nice To Have)IPC J-STD-001 CertificationIPC-A-610 CertificationExperience with RF / microwave testing and measurementsLinux familiarity: Basic command line navigation and file operationsBasic scripting (Python) skills for creating and executing automated test proceduresAbility to work effectively in an open, collaborative environmentExcellent communication, listening and people skillsAtom Computing provides a wide variety of perks and benefits, including fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for our employees and their dependents. In addition to salary, we offer an annual bonus and equity in the company.
