They are the first to greet visitors who come into the facilities, handle confrontations, and provide issue management and support. The variety of security and safety related tasks encompass the safeguarding of employees, patients, visitors, providers, and property, and they include responding to alarms, emergency requests, de-escalation tactics, and resolving safety incidents. At times, it will be expected that Security Officers manage agitated or aggressive patients or visitors.Primary Department, Division, or Unit: Security Services, UHS Chenango Memorial HospitalPrimary Work Shift: Night RotationalCompensation Range: $18.56 - $26.92 per hour, depending on experienceYou will be eligible for benefits if you are hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours.NOTE: Full-time, .9 Night Rotation available. 12 hour shifts.Education/Experience Minimum Required:High School Diploma or equivalent.ORWill accept 3 years of Security Officer experience in lieu of education requirementPreferred:One year experience in a Security related field.License/Certification Minimum Required:Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record if candidate will be driving a vehicle while working, or if not, must have a valid NYS ID CardMust meet requirements of New York State Security Guard Licensing program and successfully pass within 3 months of hire.Why You'll Love Working at UHSAt United Health Services (UHS), we believe every connectionto patients, to purpose, to each othermakes a difference.
