Assistant Director, Advancement ServicesThe Assistant Director, Advancement Operations, provides leadership and coordination for key operational functions within the Division of University Advancement, with primary responsibility for talent management operations and procurement coordination. The role organizes recruitment and onboarding workflows, the division's new hire orientation program, internal events, and purchasing processes, exercising discretion and judgment to ensure effective operations, policy compliance, and a positive candidate and employee experience.The projected salary range for this position, which represents the full range of anticipated compensation, is $55,000 to $60,000.ResponsibilitiesSupport Advancement talent operations, including recruitment logistics, onboarding, and internal transitionsCoordinate interview scheduling and candidate communications, exercising judgment to resolve scheduling conflicts and non-routine issuesOwn and manage the Advancement Division's new hire orientation and onboarding programMaintain recruitment and onboarding workflows and documentationEvaluate onboarding and recruitment processes and recommend improvements to enhance the candidate and employee experienceServe as the Division's primary liaison with Purchasing/Procurement and Accounts PayableCoordinate purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and RFP processes for Advancement-related expensesOversee Purchasing Card (P-Card) activity for the DivisionEvaluate purchasing options, identify compliance risks, and recommend process improvementsEnsure purchasing activities comply with University policies and proceduresIndependently plan and execute internal Advancement events, including divisional meetings, trainings, retreats, and orientationsCoordinate logistics, timelines, space reservations, vendors, and materials for internal eventsApply judgment in prioritizing and sequencing event and operational activities to meet divisional objectivesProvide administrative and operational support to Advancement Operations leadershipDraft routine internal and external communicationsCompile and organize information for reports, presentations, and meetingsUse University systems and databases (training provided) to support operational and reporting needsSupports the Division of University Advancement in achieving its strategic and fundraising goals, as well as Campaign goals, through positive and productive interaction and collaboration with all departmental staff, University liaisons, and external constituents.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsFormal Education:Bachelor's Degree RequiredPractical Experience:Strong organizational and time-management skillsProfessional written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to exercise discretion and maintain confidentialityProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility and willingness to learn new systems, policies, and processesPreferred Qualifications:12 years of relevant professional experienceExperience in higher education, nonprofit, or complex organizational environmentsExposure to talent operations, onboarding, event coordination, or procurementFamiliarity with systems such as Raiser's Edge or PeopleSoft
