HVAC/R Service Technician

Dean’s Refrigeration & Heating, a leading Refrigeration and HVAC contractor, is currently expanding our team. Since 1977, we’ve been providing top-notch solutions for refrigeration, heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and restaurant equipment in West Central & Central Wisconsin. We’re seeking an expert Refrigeration/HVAC technician with both technical skills, strong character and integrity to join our team and have an immediate positive impact. HVAC/R Service Technician HVAC/R Service Technician is responsible for the operations, repairs, replacement and preventative maintenance of residential, commercial and industrial air conditioning and heating systems, chillers and boilers, air handlers, fan coil units, controls and other building mechanical and electrical equipment. The preferred (but not required) candidate will be familiar with kitchen and refrigeration equipment and all refrigerants. Three years of residential/commercial service is preferred. The individual must maintain safe work practices in support of the OSHA Health & Safety and NFPA 70e standards as it applies when performing the assigned duties. Pay is contingent upon years of experience and previous employer’s reference. Pay Range / Salary: $24.00 - $45.00 per hour based on experience Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Certification from an accredited vocational-technical or trade school is preferred (but not required). Minimum 3+ years of experience in maintaining similar type and size commercial equipment preferred, along with a current EPA Universal certification (required). Strong oral and written communication required. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform duties with minimal supervision in isolated areas. Emergency on-call availability is a basic requirement. Knowledge and experience in the proper use and safe operation of hand tools, equipment and testing devices necessary to perform all work assignments. Valid driver’s license. Must have a good driving record and be able to work independently. Ability to stand, sit or squat for extended periods of time. Ability to lift, move and carry material up to 50 lbs. Ability to climb stairs, ladders and work at extended heights. Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). i.e. but not limited to, Dust mask, gloves, eye protection and hearing protection. Ability to maintain a neat personal appearance. This position will require a background check and drug screening.
