Looking for a superstar to oversee our new Houston facility.Position OverviewSutton Stromart USA is seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at its Houston manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for coordinating production, managing shop activities, and ensuring projects move efficiently from order release through shipment.The Operations Manager partners closely with engineering, supply chain, and shop teams to maintain safe operations, strong quality standards, and reliable delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate daily fabrication and assembly shop operations, including staffing and production schedulingEnsure jobs progress efficiently and are completed on scheduleIdentify and resolve production delays, bottlenecks, and resource constraintsMaintain a safe work environment and support training of shop personnelTrack performance metrics related to safety, quality, delivery, and productivityWork with engineering and supply chain to ensure readiness of materials and drawingsCommunicate production status to management and sales teamsSupport continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysisEnsure production meets drawings, specifications, and quality requirementsMaintain accurate production data and reporting within the ERP systemQualificationsRequired:5+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial productionExperience coordinating or supervising fabrication or assembly operationsStrong organizational and communication skillsExperience managing multiple prioritiesFamiliarity with ERP or production tracking systemsPreferred:Experience with industrial radiators, heat exchangers, or heavy industrial equipmentBackground in welding or structural fabrication environmentsFamiliarity with ISO quality systemsExposure to Lean or continuous improvement initiativesWhat We OfferOpportunity to help build a growing U.S. manufacturing operationSmall team environment with broad responsibilityCompetitive salary and benefitsExposure to large industrial projects in power generation and heavy equipmentSalary Expectations: $80,000 Additional Job Application TermsThis job is part of LinkedIn's Full-Service Hiring beta program.
