Project Manager / Roadway Engineer
B&N is expanding in the Pacific Northwest and is seeking a motivated Project Manager / Roadway Engineer to lead engineering design teams on transportation infrastructure projects throughout Oregon and the region. In this role, you’ll support projects for the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), local agencies, and other Pacific Northwest clients—while collaborating with some of the top transportation design professionals in the industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced roadway engineer who enjoys leading teams, managing complex projects, and building strong client relationships while contributing to the continued growth of B&N’s transportation practice.What You’ll Do Lead and manage transportation infrastructure design projects, with a focus on roadway, highway, bikeway, and related facilitiesOversee design execution while monitoring key performance indicators including budget, schedule, and project riskEnsure high-quality, consistent deliverables through effective quality control practicesMentor and support junior staff, while collaborating with Operations Leaders, Project Managers, and Professional Engineers across the firmContribute to proposal development, project pursuits, and client relationship managementPartner with clients to deliver solutions that meet technical, schedule, and budget expectationsSkills & Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited civil or transportation engineering programProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon, or the ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity10+ years of roadway design and experience leading design tasks or serving as a roadway design leadKnowledge of ODOT design standards is preferredProposal development and client relationship management experience is advantageous; existing relationships with ODOT or local agencies a plusProficiency in Microsoft OfficeExperience with Bentley OpenRoads and/or Civil 3D is preferredStrong communication, leadership, and collaboration skillsSelf-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively using virtual collaboration toolsWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, age, national origin, disability status, marital status, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
