Our Technical Engineers work directly with our customers to provide on-site mine planning expertise with safety and compliance as a first priority.
The Technical Engineer is responsible for recommending sound technological solutions and resources to deliver improved job site safety, increase productivity and efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.
This position is a leadership role with daily communication and customer focus.
Responsibilities Of The Position
While carrying out daily responsibilities safety and compliance must be the first priority.
Partners with customers to develop plans, identify special projects, and implement technologies and controls to optimize mine operations.
Ensures all company and customer safety protocols as well as regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
Conducts surveys and blast performance measures. Develop reports, presentations, and documentation. Review data collected with others to determine the progress of mining operations.
Continuously communicates with customers to address questions, and ensure performance expectations are met and cost and efficiency controls are in place.
Works with local management, blast crews, and others to improve techniques and services to optimize blast outputs.
Attends meetings to capture technical issues and resolutions and participate in hazard reviews, and investigation of blasting incidents or safety violations.
Qualifications
Mine Engineering (or similar degree) preferred
3+ years of mine engineering experience on mine-site locations.
The position requires the ability to pass a background check conducted by the ATF to possess and handle explosives.
Ability to assess information and consider possible solutions and impacts, making significant recommendations or decisions with confidence.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate and convey messages, instructions, and decisions in an effective, professional manner.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, and simultaneously oversee multiple projects in multiple locations while meeting deadlines agreed upon.
Must have the flexibility to work long hours and sporadic schedules to meet customer demands.

Pay: $61,411.98 - $73,958.52 per year
