Senior Accountant

Accountant (Manufacturing Environment) Onsite 5 daysPosition Title: AccountantReports To: ControllerPosition OverviewOur client is seeking a hands-on Accountant to play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity, operational efficiency, and compliance within a manufacturing environment. This position will oversee daily accounting operations and lead a small team supporting AR, AP, reconciliations, and compliance filings. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role supports audits, budgeting, forecasting, and continuous process improvement, while ensuring adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and ISO 9001 standards.This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional with leadership capability and solid manufacturing accounting exposure who enjoys being both strategic and hands-on.Key ResponsibilitiesLead daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, credit card activity, expense reporting, and general ledger entriesPrepare and manage month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations (bank, prepaid, accrued expenses)Maintain and reconcile inventory values, standard costing, throughput margin, and manufacturing overheadPrepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns; manage exemption certificates and related compliance documentationOversee customer and vendor setup, including credit approvals and collection processesMaintain department SOPs and training records; lead team training and process standardizationServe as primary liaison with external accountants and auditors for monthly and annual closesSupport budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisMaintain fixed asset schedules and depreciationParticipate in and lead process improvement initiatives and special projects as neededQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited institution5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environmentPrior experience leading or supervising accounting staffStrong working knowledge of SAGE 100 and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)Experience with ERP systems and expense management platformsProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsSelf-starter with a positive, organized, and detail-oriented approachWhy This RoleHigh-visibility position partnering closely with the ControllerOpportunity to lead and improve accounting processes in a manufacturing settingMix of hands-on accounting work and leadership responsibilityStable, full-time role with impact across the organizationInterested candidates should have strong manufacturing accounting experience, leadership capability, and a passion for process improvement and internal controls.Benefits:Competitive salary within the range of $75-85kComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance.Retirement savings plan with company match.Opportunities for professional development and career growth.Competitive compensation and benefits package.Personal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 120 hours a year, 13 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave.
