This role involves following established procedures, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to all regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct laboratory testing in line with defined protocols and best practicesAnalyze and validate test results before reportingEnsure results are delivered promptly and accuratelyFollow quality control processes and maintain compliance with all relevant regulationsUse laboratory equipment and resources efficientlyOrganize workload effectively to meet operational demandsQualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related scientific field (required)Advanced degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a similar discipline (preferred)Experience1–3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting (required)A relevant master’s degree may offset part of the experience requirementCertificationsCertification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist from a recognized body (required)Additional professional certifications are advantageousSkills and CompetenciesProficiency in routine laboratory testing within the assigned specialtyStrong communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholdersFamiliarity with laboratory information systemsAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectivelyAdditional InformationThis position does not include formal supervisory duties, though there may be occasional opportunities to support or guide junior staff and students.The role requires physical activity such as standing, walking, lifting moderate weights, and performing repetitive tasks. Close attention to detail and strong visual acuity are essential. The work environment may involve exposure to biological materials and requires adherence to safety protocols.
