Cloud Application Engineer

We are looking for a talented Cloud Application Engineer to design, automate, and support scalable multi-cloud infrastructure platforms used by internal application teams. We are a large enterprise organization supporting global business operations, focused on modernizing infrastructure through cloud platforms, automation, and DevOps practices. Role Basics Work Location: 100% Remote Employment Type: Contract, $35 - $39/hr W2 This role is NOT eligible for visa sponsorship or C2C Job Duties Partner with application teams as a consultative cloud resource to enable secure, scalable deployments across multiple cloud platforms Operationalize cloud workloads by implementing monitoring, logging, backup & recovery, and security hardening Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions to enable self-service cloud provisioning Build configuration-as-code and image-as-code templates for Linux and Windows environments Contribute to a centralized continuous infrastructure automation platform Implement policy-as-code and security-as-code guardrails to support governance and compliance Troubleshoot and support cloud infrastructure issues for internal teams Ideal Background 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure automation Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible Proficiency with scripting languages such as PowerShell , Bash , or Python Familiarity with CI/CD and automation tools such as GitLab , Jenkins , or similar Working knowledge of containers and cloud-native technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, serverless) Experience with cloud networking concepts including firewalls, WAFs, load balancers, and network security groups Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience Why Us Opportunity to work on a newly formed cloud team shaping enterprise-wide cloud strategy Exposure to modern DevOps, automation, and cloud-native technologies at scale Fully remote role with flexibility and autonomy High-impact work supporting multiple business units and platforms Long-term contract potential with a stable enterprise environment If you'd like, I can also: Create a shortened LinkedIn version Adjust this for contract-to-hire or direct hire Tune the language for AWS-heavy or Azure-heavy targeting Optimize keywords for Indeed / LinkedIn SEO If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
