Project Technician - 1st Shift - Industrial Equipment & Automation Division
Job DescriptionThis position will assist the Manufacturing Engineering team in all IE&A locations with the maintenance tasks listed below.Essential FunctionsAssist in design, line layout and movement, fabrication, installation of specialized tools, industrial equipment, and material handling devices used for manufacturing.Assist Employee Involvement teams with workstation design, fabrication, and implementation of manufacturing processes and improvements with an emphasis on ergonomics.Will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all manufacturing tools and equipment.Assist manufacturing engineers with audits, design, start-up and application of equipment, tools and facilities PM program.Minimum QualificationsStrong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong oral and written communication skillsMust be familiar with the operation and repair of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric tools and equipmentPrevious weld, lift truck, and high lift applications experience requiredMust have plumbing and air system experienceMust be mechanically inclined with experience in sheet metal fabrication and weldingMust possess excellent problem-solving skillsAbility to read electrical and mechanical drawings requiredAble to work and communicate with vendors/suppliers and co-workersLockout/tagout certification is a plusMust have a positive attitude, be highly motivated, a self-starter and be able to work effectively with little supervisionProficiency in MVP is preferredProven project management and facility skills are requiredAbility to set-up torque tools, and troubleshoot Smart tooling is preferredRed Tag and Hot Work Permit use is preferred3D design and printing, as well as SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience is preferredITW is an equal opportunity employer.
