Job Summary: The TEST department in East Granby CT has a need for a Test Technician to support the business. We are looking for an energetic and motivated person which will be challenged in manufacturing working with state-of-the art optical test equipment.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesWork per standard operating procedures in Testing Optical FibersDocument the manufacturing process as requiredPerform basic equipment maintenance & calibrationAssist recommending solutions to technical problemsMay assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipmentAssist engineers as neededCross-training in other areas as neededEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience or practice executing delicate tasks with small, fragile partsComputer literacy including data entry in ExcelAbility to see details at close rangeExcellent hand to eye coordinationThe job requires access to defense articles and related technical data subject to the International Traffic and Arms Regulations ("ITAR") 22 C.F.R. §§ 120-130. Therefore applicants must be U.S. persons as the term is defined in ITAR § 120.15xSafety RequirementsAll employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
