Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Daytime Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests during daytime hours. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for visitors, manage guest flow, and ensure a positive experience for all patrons. This role requires excellent communication skills, customer service experience, and the ability to handle POS systems efficiently. A background in host or hostess roles and knowledge of food safety standards are highly valued. The Daytime Host will play a key role in maintaining a smooth operation and ensuring our guests feel comfortable and well-attended to throughout their visit. Responsibilities * Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage guest check-in procedures with professionalism and courtesy * Use POS systems to process orders and payments as needed * Answer phone calls promptly, providing information about the establishment and assisting with inquiries * Manage guest seating arrangements to optimize flow and reduce wait times * Maintain awareness of food safety standards to ensure compliance with health regulations * Coordinate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction * Handle customer inquiries or concerns with a positive attitude, escalating issues when necessary * Keep the host area clean, organized, and welcoming at all times * Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient operation of the establishment Qualifications * Previous experience as a host or hostess is preferred * Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor * Proficiency in using POS systems for transactions and reservations * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written * Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment * Oregon Food Handler's Card * Reliable, punctual, and professional appearance * Ability to work well as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities Please apply to join us as a Daytime Host if you enjoy creating positive experiences for guests and working as a team.
