Our care and passion for health is demonstrated by the qualifications we demand in every product bearing the Farmland Fresh Dairies name.... no hormones added / rBST free, antibiotic free milk supply, local sourcing, purity and superior taste.INTERESTED IN STARTING YOUR CAREER IN TRANSPORTATION?The driver helper is a vital role within our operation:This is a entry level position within the Transportation department.The driver helper assists the route delivery driver with loading and unloading of products on the truck.Delivers and stack merchandise on customer premises exercising excellent customer service and extreme safety precautions.Our drivers need the support of a physically strong and determined individual to assist with deliveries to 15 to 20 customers on an assigned routes.The helper safely assists with heavy and fast paced unloading of milk crates weighing over 40lbs each and other delicious perishable foods that are transported in our refrigerated straight trucks and tractor trailers.Our helpers become skilled at using hand trucks, pallet jacks, truck lift gates and electronic devices such as phones and handheld devices that are used to track our delivery process.The helper also assists the driver even as a passenger on the truck! Our drivers can make safer lane changes with guidance since a helper has a better blind spot view; also if the driver has to make a difficult backing, parking or turning maneuvers, the helper supports the driver by getting out of the truck and providing guidance.BENEFITS:Staring rate: $20.00hr$2,000 sign-on bonusAnnual performance bonus up to $5,000Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life InsuranceTime off Package which includes: Sick and HolidaysSCHEDULES:Dispatch times: 3pm-5pmShift: 10-12 hours per day, approximatelyStops per route: 10-5 depending on location and routeWeekends requiredRESPONSIBILITIES:Assist the driver with deliveriesMaintain Department of Transportation rulesUnloading of merchandise by the use of hand trucksProvide an excellent customer service experience by meeting customer needs during deliveryFull-Time/Part-TimeFull-TimeLocationWatchman Services RochesterPositionDriver HelperPosition RequirementsAbility to lift 50lbs and push or pull 150lbsAbility to work in all weather conditions.Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations1-2 years of experience making deliveries, loading or unloading items from a truck or in a warehouse environment preferred.Ablility to pass our pre-employment process which includes a phone screen, face to face interview, skills assessments, drug testing and criminal background check.Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays and sometimes extended hours on your scheduled days.No Driving experience requiredShiftVarious ShiftsEOE StatementWe are an equal employment opportunity employer.
