Metadata DeveloperFulltime Role (Permanent Role)Fully Remote RoleJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Metadata Developer to support enterprise-wide Data Governance and Metadata Management initiatives within a Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance environment.The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, configuring, and maintaining metadata management solutions, enabling both business and technical users to discover, understand, and trust enterprise data assets.This role will collaborate closely with Data Governance, Data Architecture, Data Engineering, and business stakeholders to enhance metadata capabilities using modern cloud data platforms and governance tools.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain business metadata, technical metadata, data lineage, and Critical Data Element (CDE) frameworksConfigure and administer metadata management tools (e.g., Collibra), including workflows, domains, and governance processesDesign and implement metadata ingestion and integration processes across enterprise data platformsIntegrate metadata platforms with tools such as Databricks Unity Catalog and other data sourcesBuild automated metadata synchronization and lineage capture solutionsSupport metadata quality, governance, and stewardship initiativesCollaborate with data architects and governance teams to define metadata standards and best practicesAnalyze metadata requirements and implement scalable governance solutionsSupport regulatory, audit, compliance, and risk management initiatives through enhanced data traceabilityCreate and maintain technical documentation and governance artifactsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, or Data Management3+ years of hands-on experience with metadata management tools (e.g., Collibra)Strong experience with:Business MetadataTechnical MetadataData LineageCritical Data Elements (CDEs)Experience integrating metadata platforms with Databricks Unity Catalog or similar cloud ecosystemsStrong SQL and data modeling skillsExperience working in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance environmentsStrong analytical and stakeholder management skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, or GCPKnowledge of data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOKExperience supporting regulatory reporting and compliance initiativesKey SkillsMetadata ManagementData LineageData GovernanceCollibra Administration & ConfigurationDatabricks Unity CatalogSQLData ArchitectureInsurance Data Domains (P&C)
