About the RoleWork 4 x 10-hour shifts, including days, swings, weekends, and holiday rotationsThese shifts may be split between the Buzzards Bay and Dennis locations.Be a key player in the emergency team: from triage and stabilization to inpatient care and dischargeProvide advanced nursing care to critically ill patients, using your technical skills and compassionate advocacyCollaborate closely with veterinarians and colleagues to deliver gold-standard care under fast-paced conditions Your Day-to-DayConduct emergency triage, gather vitals, and obtain health histories using EMRsAssist in stabilizing and monitoring critical patients on arrival and during hospitalizationExecute technical nursing duties: venipuncture, IV catheter placement, diagnostic imaging, anesthesia monitoringSupport clinicians during procedures with induction, prep, monitoring, and recoveryCommunicate clearly and empathetically with team members and pet owners What We're Looking ForCurrent CVT, LVT, or RVT (or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months)Veterinary emergency experience is essential; anesthesia and emergency procedure monitoring preferredRECOVER certification and/or VTS ECC credentials a plus (or a strong desire to pursue specialization)Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environmentA calm, adaptable mindset with strong critical thinking and teamwork abilities What We OfferCompensation range: $22 - $32/hrMost new hires can expect an offer based on experience, expertise, and alignment with comparable positions within the hospital, typically between the minimum and the midpoint of the range.Sign-on bonus up to $2,500Paid PTO, holidays, medical/dental/vision/life insurance401(k) plan with company matchGenerous continuing education program including VTS training and mentorshipUniform allowance and company-paid Trupanion pet insurance for two petsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) for support and well-being About Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists
