At Kuehne+Nagel, our contribution counts in more ways than we imagine.How you create impactThe Sea Logistics Pricing Supervisor plays a critical role in driving strategic pricing initiatives for the USA commodity export business while overseeing a team. This position blends strategic pricing with hands-on operational execution in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Reporting to the Pricing Manager, the supervisor works cross-functionally with Sales Teams, Account Owners, Business Operations, and Sea Freight Trade Managers to deliver competitive rate solutions and ensure timely order dispatch. The role involves direct customer engagement on bids and spot pricing, carrier negotiations, and escalation management, with a focus on key commodity segments such as Forest Products, Recycled Materials, and Dried Fruits and Nuts.Partner with Commodity Trade Managers to ensure contracted buying rates align with current market conditions.Liaise with major ocean carriers to secure competitive spot rates based on sales and customer requests.Support the Sales Team in customer pricing discussions, ensuring timely and competitive rate proposals that meet profitability targets.Assist in allocation management by executing steering instructions and providing timely solutions for space request escalations.Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, carrier dynamics, and trade lane performance to inform pricing decisions.What we would like you to bring5+ years of hands-on experience in sea logistics, with knowledge of export operations and carrier engagement2+ years of proven supervisory experience, leading teams in a fast-paced environment is a plusStrong leadership capabilities with a track record of influencing and collaborating across cross-functional teamsExcellent communication skills, with confidence in engaging directly with customers and carriersAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skills, supported by advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities effectivelyHigh attention to numerical detail and accuracyThis position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
