This role is built for someone deeply online in the best way possible. Someone who instinctively understands fandom behavior, platform culture, and how audiences actually talk on the internet.You'll help manage and grow communities for entertainment properties by engaging directly with fans, supporting content publishing, monitoring conversations in real time, and helping brands show up authentically across social platforms. From premiere nights and trailer launches to meme-worthy cultural moments, you'll help keep our clients part of the conversation.The ideal candidate has experience managing entertainment or pop culture-focused social accounts, thrives in fast-moving environments, and understands how to balance brand voice with platform-native engagement. You should be equally comfortable writing clever replies, spotting trending moments, coordinating with internal creative teams, and helping maintain organized publishing workflows.This is a freelance, part-time role with flexible hours, though some evening and weekend availability will be required around launches, live moments, and key campaign beats.What You'll DoCommunity Management & EngagementAct as an active voice for entertainment and media brands across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, X, and ThreadsEngage directly with fans in a way that feels timely, authentic, and aligned to each project's tone and fandomMonitor social conversations, trends, comments, tags, and DMs during active campaign windowsConduct regular page sweeps and surface notable community conversations or emerging fan sentiment to internal teamsSupport live social coverage during premieres, events, launches, and major cultural momentsPublishing & Social SupportAssist with scheduling and publishing social content across multiple accountsEnsure posts are accurately published according to approved calendars and platform specificationsCollaborate with producers, creatives, strategists, and designers to support social rolloutsFlag missing assets, approvals, or publishing needs proactively to maintain smooth workflowsHelp optimize posts for platform-native performance and engagementStrategy & Culture MonitoringStay tapped into entertainment culture, trending conversations, fandom spaces, and emerging platform behaviorsIdentify reactive opportunities, memes, and audience trends that could inspire real-time content or engagementAssist with basic reporting and community insights using native analytics or social toolsContribute ideas during brainstorms and social ideation sessionsRequired Experience 1–3 years of experience in social media or community management, ideally within entertainment, streaming, gaming, music, or pop culturePrior Agency experience preferredStrong understanding of platform-native behavior across TikTok, Instagram, X, Threads, Reddit, YouTube, and emerging social spacesExcellent writing skills with the ability to adapt to different brand voices quicklyDeep familiarity with internet culture, fandom behavior, memes, and digital conversation trendsExperience with social publishing and analytics tools such as Sprout and Meltwater, native platform tools, or similarAbility to multitask across multiple campaigns and shifting prioritiesOrganized, collaborative, and proactive communicatorComfortable working flexible hours during major launches, live events, or campaign momentsPassion for entertainment, storytelling, and social-first creative workPay Range$25—$37 USDDisclosures:In order to adjust to changes in our business, it may become necessary to add, remove or modify certain duties and responsibilities, or to reassign you to another job position.
