The team is growing and adding a CNC Field Service Technician for the New England territory! This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of CNC machine tool equipment, controls and other components purchased by customers.ResponsibilitiesTravel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain CNC machine tool equipment and controlsIdentify areas for performance improvement on equipment; perform and promote preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipmentDetect and resolve issues with electrical and mechanical componentsUtilize machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research machine issuesEffectively communicate machine issues, status of install or status of machine repair to customer; ensure proper documentation is completed and submitted to office and customerExhibit ownership of customer related problems and coordinate with appropriate departments when necessary for resolution of problems to ensure customer service satisfactionParticipate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay apprised of new developments in the fieldMaintain an in-depth technical knowledge of product lines represented by the companyStay abreast of vendor products and new technology and implement as appropriateConduct machine maintenance training as a component of after-sales technical supportPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsAssociates degree in a related field is preferred; High School Diploma/GED required2+ years as a CNC Field Service Technician or Engineer highly preferred; equivalent experience may be considered3+ years of experience working with CNC controlsBasic understanding of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics; familiarity with precision measuring equipmentExperience with precision rotating machinery, spindles, precision bearings highly beneficialProblem solving skills and attention to detail with technical aptitude is requiredAbility to read and understand drawings and schematicsWorking knowledge of Microsoft programs and other related business programsMust be able to work unscheduled overtime without noticeValid drivers license and auto/vehicle insurance requiredAbility to travel regionally up to 100% of the workweek; some overnight travel required and some domestic travel requiredMust provide basic hand tools for electrical/mechanical repairUS Citizen/Green Card HolderMust-Haves:* Associate's degree in a related field is preferred. High School Diploma/GED required * Hands on experience working with CNC controls is a must * 2+ years as a CNC Field Service Technician or Engineer highly preferred * Experience with precision rotating machinery, spindles, and precision bearings is highly beneficial * Valid drivers license and auto/vehicle insurance required * Ability to travel regionally up to 100% of the workweek; some overnight travel required and some domestic travel requiredOr refer someone
