Join us on our journey and make a meaningful impact on the lives of people around the globe.Position SummaryThe Summer Intern will support the Manufacturing Engineering team in driving operational excellence across manufacturing and quality processes. This role is designed for a highly motivated engineering student interested in hands-on exposure to real-world manufacturing environments, cross‑functional collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives.The intern will work closely with Manufacturing Engineer, Quality, and Production teams to analyze existing processes, support system enhancements, and contribute to projects that improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability across manufacturing operations. This position provides practical experience in Quality Management System (QMS), process automation, data analysis, and continuous improvement efforts within a medical device organization.Responsibilities And DutiesSupport Engineering with validation activities including data collection and analysis using programming languages such as Python/Matlab and JMP.Support Engineering with implementation activities including but not limited to document updates or Change Impact Assessments and release them through a centralized Quality Management System (QMS).Work with cross‑functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, Test Engineering) to align on proposed changes and continuous improvement initiatives.Follow established quality, safety, and documentation standards while working in lab or manufacturing environments.RequirementsUndergraduate full-time student with at least 2 years completed, pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical Engineering or similar.Proficiency in documentation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to operate independently or in a team.Familiar with ISO13485 standards and/or 21CFR820 FDA regulations, 3D (CAD) Modeling , programming (Python/MATLAB) and statistical tools (JMP) is a plus.Interns are expected to work onsite at the Palo Alto office five days a week throughout the 12‑week internship period.Salary Range- $20- $25/ HourThe successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
