Position Overview
We're an established Aerospace Manufacturer, and we are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming CNC machines to produce high-quality components in accordance with engineering specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC programming techniques and the ability to work with complex geometries, especially in the aerospace sector.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining operations
Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes and mills
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy in production
Conduct test runs to ensure the quality of machined parts
Modify existing programs to improve efficiency and quality
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC programming and machining processes
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to meet project requirements
Qualifications
Proven experience as a CNC Programmer
Experience with 5-axis machining is preferred
Background in aerospace/precision manufacturing or investment castings is an advantage
Understanding of AS9100 standards and GD&T principles
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
