Our team offers digital and business transformation to law firms and legal organizations. We are looking for a consultant to help us with the technical aspects of migrating our client’s data. What we do. At Affinity Consulting Group, we offer digital and business transformations to law firms and legal departments. We are their trusted advisers and work with them to build business strategies, create better teams and processes, and implement technology to run a healthy business. What you would do, (unofficially). You would provide technical solutions to organize, classify, and restructure documents and emails based on the assessment and requirements you receive from our Consultant team members. What you would do, (officially). As a Data Engineer on the Document Solutions Team, your ultimate responsibility is to engage with our project teams and sometimes directly with client stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements and then provide the best possible solution to modify or migrate data into Document Management Systems. Your responsibilities. Engaging with clients and serving as a trusted advisor. Analyzing client requirements and designing the best solutions that align with their goals and objectives. Use, improve, and document our library of PowerShell and SQL scripts and procedures used for content migration and manipulation.Support our implementation teams during critical project “Go-Live” phases with nimble and reactive batch scripting to keep our projects on track. Review data mapping logic prior to any migration services to ensure the transformation of data is clear, concise, and within the scope of the project SOW. Possessing knowledge and expertise in content management services in a relevant industry or domain. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as sales, marketing, data and development, and client service, to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction. Provide data export and lateral migration services through ad-hoc service support requests. Preparing and delivering documentation, reports, and presentations to clients and internal stakeholders. This may include project status updates, technical documentation, and remediation logs. Providing technical workshops and support to other members of our DMS Technical Services team related to changes and enhancements in our data manipulation and migration services. Your first 90 days. In your initial 90 days, you’ll be fully onboarded and trained in our supported Document Management System migration utility, which will include both formal product training certifications, internal workshops, and observational participation in data migration projects. You will learn from the rest of our extremely talented team and begin to engage with clients on your own. What we’re looking for. We’re seeking someone who is a SQL scripting and PowerShell expert (at least three years of SQL Scripting experience is required). We also need you to have a history of improving processes to gain efficiency and accuracy in our deliverables. You will possess that unique ability to be able to think and communicate at a highly technical level, but also adapt your style to work directly with clients to explain solutions in less than technical terms that they can understand. You will have the strong task and time management skills necessary to provide your services autonomously. Experience working with DMS, SharePoint Online document libraries, or Enterprise Content Management systems is highly desirable. More about us and details you’ll want to know. The final salary offered will be dependent on the candidate's experience and location. This comprehensive package is designed to reward expertise and incentivize performance, aligning with our commitment to recognize and support our team's growth and success. We’re 100% remote, so we expect you to have reliable internet, a dedicated professional workspace, and the ability to travel to meetings/conferences, typically 5-7 times a year. We work 8:30-5 ET, M-F (w/ flexibility). This is a full-time position.
