Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist

Southern Crescent is seeking a Accounts Receivable/ Billing Specialist responsible for assigned insurance claims and patient balances until paid or turned over to collection agency.Key Responsibilities:Respond to patient inquiries, including explaining that cost estimates are not final and escalating concerns to management when neededManage billing processes and coordinate surgery schedulingPerform charge posting and surgery scheduling; alternatively handle payment collections as an AR specialistVerify patient insurance benefits accuratelyObtain and manage prior authorizationsProvide cost estimates based on patient insurance coverageWork with patients who may have single or multiple insurance payersCharge Posting and/or charge entryMust Have Qualifications:2-3 years of experience in AR/ billingProficient in Epic EHRHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentCharge Posting and/or charge entry experienceClinical experience in an OB/GYN settingNice to Have Qualifications:Experience with WaystarFamiliarity with Availity and Georgia MMIS for eligibility, claims, and authorization workflowsEnvironment:Standard schedule is Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Friday: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.Lunch 12:30-1:30 PMTravel- N/ALocation: Fayetteville, GACompensation and Benefits:Hourly pay approximately $23-24/hr. depending on experience.Disclaimers : AlphaStaff, Inc. and the Client are equal employment opportunity employers and do not discriminate against any applicant or employee based on race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, age, past or present military service, disability, genetic information, or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws.
