Team members join a collaborative environment centered on client care, professional integrity, and continuous improvement.Role Description The Human Resources Generalist will support the full employee lifecycle for Absolute Awakenings Treatment Center, ensuring that HR practices align with the organization’s mission and values. This full-time, on-site position is based Morris Plains NJ- The position involves daily interaction with employees and leadership. Key responsibilities include handling day-to-day HR operations, administering employee onboarding and offboarding, maintaining accurate personnel records, and supporting recruitment and hiring processes. The HR Generalist will manage routine employee inquiries, assist with performance management processes, and help implement and communicate HR policies and procedures. The role also includes coordinating benefits administration, supporting payroll-related data collection, assisting with training and development initiatives, and helping promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture in a treatment-centered environment.QualificationsStrong foundation in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, including experience supporting day-to-day HR operations.Ability to interpret, apply, and maintain HR Policies in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.Knowledge of Employee Benefits and Benefits Administration, including enrollment, changes, and employee communication.Experience with recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes, preferably in healthcare, behavioral health, or related fields.Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with HRIS or HR management software and standard office applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email).Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
