Job Title: Fulfillment Associate Reports to: Fulfillment Supervisor Location: Kalkaska, MI Salary Range: $16-$17 per hour Schedule: Monday-Thursday 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM (can be flexible on start/end time) Position Objective: The Fulfillment Associate supports order preparation, staging, packaging verification, inventory handling, documentation, delivery readiness, and fulfillment accuracy in a compliant environment. Essential Functions: Operational Execution (35%) Perform or lead assigned packaging, fulfillment, staging, transport, or weekend production activities according to daily priorities. Quality, Accuracy & Documentation (25%) Verify labels, counts, weights, order details, inventory movements, manifests, and required documentation as applicable. Team Support & Workflow (20%) Support team coordination, training, communication, handoffs, and flexible coverage across operational needs. Compliance & Safety (15%) Follow company policies, cannabis regulations, PPE requirements, sanitation expectations, and safety procedures. Process Improvement (5%) Identify workflow barriers, suggest improvements, and support changes that improve speed, quality, or accountability. Required Qualifications: Ability to follow SOPs, Work Instructions, and food safety procedures Demonstrated attention to detail with accuracy and strong organization skills Excellent problem solving/judgment skills Self-motivated with a high degree of personal accountability Strong time management and team collaboration skills Comfortable maintaining compliance documentation and batch records Understanding of (or willingness to learn) METRC and Where4 systems Must obtain a valid Food Handler Certification by start date Willingness to pivot to support other areas of the facility as needed Experience working in a warehouse, transport, distribution or fulfillment environment is required Must pass background check per state cannabis regulations Physical & Environmental Demands On feet and physically active 50-75% Lift 50 lbs regularly; lift 20 lbs repetitively throughout the day Work in a fast-paced, hot/cold environment (seasonally dependent) Must be comfortable in loud settings and capable of clear verbal communication Wear all required PPE (bump caps, hair nets, beard nets, safety glasses, sleeves, and slip-resistant footwear) 42 Degrees Processing is committed to fairness and equality of opportunity in the workplace.
