Senior Transportation Construction Inspector

ATCS's Construction Services group is expanding in Pennsylvania! We are looking for Senior Construction Inspectors with PA construction management and inspection experience that have necessary PennDOT certifications. This role is based in PennDOT District 11.DutiesPerform transportation construction inspections on Highway, Bridges, Environmental, Traffic, and Facilities type projectsWrite daily progress reportsOversight of contractor work crews to ensure compliance with contract documents, reading and interpretation of contract documents to verify that safe construction practices are being utilized to produce quality resultsPerform field test on materials (concrete slump/air, soil compaction, and HMA)Complete documentation of materials, labor compliance, safety, processing estimates, work orders, and adjustmentsReport on-site activities and daily progress to the Project Engineer via standardized reporting, responsible for calculation and determination of pay quantitiesRequirements 4+ years of contractor or inspection experience in roadway construction with PennDOT desiredKnowledgeable in PennDOT Road & Bridges specifications and standardsKnowledge of mathematics to include algebra, geometry and trigonometrySkill in the use of field engineering and testing equipment, inspection methods and materialsPossession of required certifications:PennDOT Concrete Technician CertificationNICET Level 2-4 in Transportation & Highway ConstructionOSHA 10 Hour SafetyPennDOT NECEPTACI Concrete Field – Testing TechnicianPennDOT Flagger Training or equivalentValid Drivers’ LicenseMust be eligible to work in the United StatesProficient in Site Manager, or other project management softwareOur employees are the most critical part of ATCS. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $28.00 o $32.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role is also eligible for an annual bonus, with a target 2% of the employee's annualized salary.
