Material Handler

Job Summary:The Material Handler is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory handling, and load coordination. This role ensures the accurate and timely movement of goods while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. The Material Handler plays a key role in supporting operational excellence and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing orders for processingRead and interpret customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shippedMaintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment to ensure accessibility for employees and customersAdhere to all company safety policies and procedures; perform all tasks in a safe and compliant mannerAssemble products as needed and participate in cycle counts and physical inventory processesTake check calls from drivers to confirm delivery status; verify and validate load data prior to marking loads as delivered for accounting accuracyMonitor daily pick-ups and deliveries to ensure shipments arrive on time and in good conditionAssist with other tasks and duties as needed to support the team.Qualifications:Basic written and verbal communication skillsBasic computer skillsAbility to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends based on business needsAbility to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions and apply critical thinkingPrevious dock or warehouse experience within the transportation or logistics industryExperience loading and unloading trailersExperience using handheld scanners or warehouse management systemsAbility to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds regularlyAbility to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periodsWork Environment:Conditions: The role involves working in a warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, requiring physical stamina.Hours: Must be available to work flexible hours, including potential overtime and weekends.Work Schedule:Days: Monday through SaturdayHours: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PMAll job offers are contingent upon completing and passing a background check and drug screen.
