Hinckley is seeking a motivated and experienced Outboard Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience servicing, diagnosing, and repairing?outboard engines, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This is a unique opportunity to work with a reputable marine company in a dynamic and growing industry.?Responsibilities:Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic software to troubleshoot complex electrical, fuel, and engine performance issues.Repairs: Perform skilled tasks in the service, repair, and maintenance of outboard engines.Product Lines: Proficient in various outboard engines such as Mercury V12, Honda, Evinrude, Suzuki, and Yamaha.?Testing: Calibrate and fine-tune steering, throttle, and accessory systems. Maintain a detailed record of services.??Safety Compliance: Adhere to manufacturing safety standards and maintain a clean work environment.?Other: All duties as assignedRequirementsPhysical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.Certifications: Yamaha, Mercury (V12).Pre-Employment: All applicants must be able to successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment.?QualificationsStrong understanding of sterndrive, outboard repair, and maintenance.Working knowledge of electrical diagnostic tools and software.Ability to troubleshoot problems with all types of equipment.Willing and able to educate themselves with OEM technical training/requirements.Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.Work EnvironmentLocation: On-siteConditions: Ability to work in various weather conditions with prolonged standing or stooping.
