POSITIONOVERVIEW
Responsible for maintaining business information technology operations at KSE with an emphasis on remote publishing offices (OSGIM) including network and system administration, telecommunications, and information security. This position will be in the Denver, Colorado office.
MINIMUM POSITION RESPONSIBILITES
Manages daily operation of remote office and equipment including servers, routers, switches and firewalls
Participates in network design activities and maintains appropriate documentation
Configures, implements, tests, and maintains all LAN/WAN components and connections
Performs system administration activities for servers and applications
Maintains full range of site IT operations and activities
Serves as liaison to publishing technical operations
Assists with help desk operations as necessary
Participates in staff meetings
Assists with operations at other facilities as needed
Plans for and implements disaster recovery/business continuity solutions
Develops after-hours support plans and resources
Provides telephone system support
Up to 25% travel to remote sites
Performs other duties as assigned
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated proficiency in maintaining remote office IT operations
Demonstrated advanced problem solving capabilities
Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Active Directory
Experience with VMWare ESXi
Experience with NAS systems
Experience with Citrix XenApp
Thorough knowledge of Windows (server and desktop) operating systems
Proficient in the configuration and management of network equipment including switches, routers, and firewalls
Knowledge of advanced network security concepts
Knowledge of backup/disaster recovery/business continuity concepts and operations
Cooperative attitude and flexible approach to a wide variety of situations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently
Formal technical training or Bachelor's degree (preferred)
MCSE or equivalent certification preferred
CCNA or equivalent certification preferred
EXPERIENCE
Five years experience working in a formal IT department with progressive operational responsibilities to include a minimum of 3 years' experience working as a network analyst/administrator/engineer or equivalent.
