The unit utilizes PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR systems and performs a wide variety of cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures. RTO (Return to Orientation) after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly result in contract cancellation and do-not-return status.Key ResponsibilitiesCirculate and scrub for a diverse range of cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures including aortic valve, mitral valve, ASD repair, redo surgeries, esophagogastrectomy, CABG with and without valve repair/replacement, VATS, thoracotomy, mediastinoscopy, mitral clip procedures, TAVR, ascending aortic aneurysm repair, groin exploration, port-a-cath placement, robotic thoracic surgery, carotid endarterectomy, IABP insertion and removal, myxoma removal, pneumonectomy, Chamberlain procedure, tracheostomy, and VSD repairMaintain aseptic technique and instrument management in the operating room environmentEducation RequirementsBCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) requiredCNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) preferredRequired ExperienceMinimum 2 years of CVOR experienceCirculate and scrub experience requiredRequired SkillsCirculate in the operating roomScrub in the operating roomCardiac and thoracic surgical knowledgePreferred SkillsCNOR certificationScrub specialty skillsWork Environment / Physical RequirementsOrientation: 36 hoursScrubs providedFirst-time traveler: Unit acceptsImportant NotesRTO (Return to Orientation) after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsiteAny call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly result in contract cancellation and do-not-return statusCandidates must provide interview availability for the next 72 hours when submitted to avoid delays in the approval processManager will not offer without speaking to and interviewing the candidate firstAbout GTTGTT is a minority-owned staffing firm and a subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, a Native American-owned company in Alaska.
