Title: Sr. Data EngineerIndustry: HealthcareDuration: 6+ months, contract to hireLocation: Remote, CST / EST hoursRate Range: $70-$75/hrWork Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure that supports enterprise reporting, financial reconciliation, and operational analytics.This role is ideal for a highly technical engineer who thrives in Azure and Databricks environments and is passionate about data quality, governance, and reliability. You will report to the Director of IT Governance & Strategy and collaborate closely with the CIO, data analysts, finance stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure the integrity and stability of our data ecosystem.The Work Design, build, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines across Azure, Databricks, and SQL environmentsDevelop and support ingestion frameworks (API-based and file-based) across multiple external platforms (PIMS, procurement systems, home delivery vendors)Implement data quality validation, deduplication logic, reconciliation controls, and financial accuracy checksBuild Spark/Python-based transformation and orchestration logic within DatabricksPartner with Finance, Operations, and IT Governance to align data assets with enterprise reporting standardsParticipate in incident management and root cause analysis for production data issuesCreate and maintain technical documentation, playbooks, and knowledge transfer materials to reduce single points of failureSupport strategic initiatives requiring scalable, resilient, and compliant data architecture.What We Are Looking For Experience 7-10+ years of experience in data engineeringProven experience designing scalable data pipelines in cloud environmentsTechnical Skills Advanced proficiency in SQLStrong hands-on experience with Spark and PythonDeep understanding of ETL/ELT architecture and data pipeline orchestrationExperience with Azure data services and DatabricksDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues quicklyData Governance & Analysis Advanced knowledge of data governance practices, standards, and compliance frameworksStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret both high-level patterns and granular datasetsExperience implementing data quality controls and reconciliation processesEducation Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field preferred (equivalent experience accepted)Master's degree or certifications such as CDMP or DGSP are a plusAbout INSPYR Solutions Technology is our focus and quality is our commitment.
