Safety and Access Control Officer (AGAWAM)

You’ll protect our team and our property – all while securing valuable law experience and rewarding benefits.Pay Starting at $17.00/HourApply (by clicking the relevant button) after checking through all the related job information below.Responsibilities:Interacting with guests providing directions and assistanceProtecting employees, guests, and company propertyControlling park access, checking vehicle permits and scanning ID badges for team members, vendors, and contractorsPatrolling and inspecting assigned areas of the parkKeeping unauthorized personnel out of restricted areasGreeting and screening entering through metal detection and check their bags for prohibited itemsRapidly responding to active alarms, first aid, and other emergency situationsMonitoring all areas for safety hazards, including fire, theft, and vandalismMaintaining ride queue lines, sending line jumpers to the back to ensure an efficient boarding processWriting detailed reports of damage, incident logs, and security recordsApprehending violators, including on-foot pursuits when necessaryEscorting guests and team members as needed for assistance and protection­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Enforcing all Six Flags New England policiesAssisting in other areas of the Security DepartmentPerforming other incidental and related duties as required and assignedQualifications:Ability to work in an environment as fast-paced as our coastersProfessional demeanor and ability to interact in a positive mannerStrong attention to detailCautious and reliable natureAbility to remain calm in emergency situationsExcellent verbal and written communication xaygatp skillsCommitment to a safe environmentMust be 18 years or olderAble to lift, carry, and balance heavy loadsPhysical qualifications to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach throughout your shiftWilling to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidaysAble to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English languageAble to meet the physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, including walking long distances, standing for long periods of time, lifting, working at heights, etc.
