This individual serves as the day-to-day client contact, maintaining deep client and carrier relationships, supporting retention, and providing consultative service across fully insured, self-funded, and level-funded arrangements.Job DutiesMaintains and grows client relationships for major market accounts with complex, multi-carrier benefit structuresCollaborates on multi-year strategic plans including plan design optimization, cost containment, and benchmarking for large-group employersManages claims and coverage issue resolution when elevated from HR, navigating self-funded plan administration and multi-carrier environmentsAdvises clients on compliance matters (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, state mandates) and provides ongoing compliance reportingFacilitates open enrollment preparation including SBCs, disclosure notices, benefit booklets, and employee presentations/webinars when not handled by Account Administrator or Account ExecutiveManages new carrier, plan, or vendor implementations including benefits administration system build-out and project managementHandles renewal preparation, financial analysis of renewal offers, and carrier negotiations for large-group accountsAssists in the RFP process including census preparation, online quoting, proposal development, and stop-loss marketingProvides benchmarking reports (annually, quarterly, or monthly) with claims experience analysis and peer comparisonsAssists with billing and eligibility audits; conducts independently when not handled by Account AdministratorPerforms contract review; facilitates SPD Wraps, Cafeteria/POP Plan documents, and 5500 preparationInstalls and maintains client-specific data in BenefitPointPrepares master group files, client contact sheets, and carrier filesProvides mentorship to Account Administrators and Assistant Plan AnalystsAttends continuing education training; follows HUB Broker StandardsQualificationsRequired:Active Life & Health LicenseMinimum 5 years of EB account management experience, preferably with large or major market accounts (500+ lives minimum)Knowledge of self-funded and level-funded plan arrangementsClient-facing experience presenting to HR leadership at large employersProficiency in MS ExcelAbility to travelPreferredBachelor’s degree (4-year degree)Experience with BenefitPoint or comparable agency management systemsIndustry designations (CEBS, GBA, RHU, or REBC)Experience with multi-state employer groups or multi-location accountsThe expected salary range for this position is $80,000 to $120,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
