Technician, Kitting (Day Shift 5:00AM - 5:00PM)
Shift Must work day shift; 12 hours per day; 2/2/3 schedule.
Location DP2 Facility in Fort Worth, TX.
Responsibilities Ensure GMP and food safety requirements and policies are implemented and respected.
Capable of implementing and coordinating food safety programs (HACCP, Environmental Monitoring, Pest Management, Raw Material, and Finished Product Sampling Plan) for DrinkPAK.
Certified PCQI and HACCP preferred.
Support implementation of corrective actions associated with identified gaps (both internal and external).
Ensure data is entered into the QMS accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensure the correct transactions in QMS are conducted and completed as required (releases, blocks, returns).
Issue Certificate of Analysis to customers and record the history of recorded analysis results.
Verify customer documentation requirements for products being supplied from the facility, including bills of lading, packing lists, delivery notes, and quality certificates.
Work closely with Supply Chain to ensure incoming ingredients, chemicals, and packaging materials are sampled, inspected, and approved for use in the production facility.
Provide support to correct key food safety complaints.
Continuous improvement of Quality Culture.
Collect, test, and report results in process Brix, pH, and Titratable Acids and other in-process analyses to ensure they fall within specification ranges.
Assist in implementing and maintaining the SQF Food Safety and Quality systems.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field (Biology, Microbiology, Food Microbiology, etc.).
Minimum of 3 years experience as QA/QC in the Beverage industry.
Bilingual (English & Spanish) is preferred.
Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, Environmental Monitoring, and microbiological testing.
Knowledge and experience of GFSI audit schemes.
Excellent communication skills and a team player.
Strong leadership abilities.
Understanding of government regulations in relation to food processing.
Strong personal computer skills, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WHS systems.
Willing to work weekend and evening shifts as required.

Working Conditions The employee frequently is required to talk and hear, in person, via video conferencing (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, etc.) and telephonically. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk and is frequently required to sit.
