DescriptionWe are seeking a hands-on Robotics Test Technician to support acceptance, qualification, and software release testing of our robotic platform used in the commercial fishing industry. A strong candidate will demonstrate thoughtful feedback, intense focus to detail, a mind for troubleshooting, and willingness to support their teammates. The position is 100% on-site at our El Segundo facility during standard business hours and requires handling live and dead fish.What You Get To Do:Execute acceptance testing on robotic subassemblies and full systems following engineering-defined test plansPerform hands-on software release testing on physical hardware to verify performance, stability, and safetyTroubleshoot test failures, collect clear diagnostic data, and document results for engineering reviewMaintain detailed and organized test records to ensure traceability and repeatabilityPrepare, maintain, and improve test fixtures, tools, and lab infrastructureAssist engineers during experimental development testing and rapid iteration cyclesEnsure a clean, safe, and disciplined test environmentSupport live fish intake, maintenance, processing, and inventory in coordination with lab operations staffWhat You Will Need4+ years of hands-on technical experience in a lab, manufacturing, field service, or test environmentStrong electromechanical aptitude and comfort working with related toolsAbility to read and follow technical procedures, wiring diagrams, and assembly documentationExperience troubleshooting electromechanical actuation systemsAbility to lift up to 40–50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periodsWillingness to work in wet, cold, and physically demanding environmentsComfortable handling live and dead fish, including processing and post-test clean-upExperience interfacing with hardware via serial connections, SSH, or similar command-line toolsProactive mindset and communication style to ensure prioritization, schedule, and status are mutually understoodA team-oriented mindset; willing to support both technical and operational aspects of the lab
