Branch Manager

Our client is a growing community bank with a strong presence in Virginia and the Carolinas. They are currently seeking a Branch Manager to join their team in Roanoke.JOB FUNCTIONS:Lead, manage, and develop a branch team of direct reports with low to moderate complexity and risk in retail banking branchDrive branch revenue for a branch with low to moderate core deposit and loan balances through consumer and small business relationship development and new customer strategies; Drive the branch core deposit and loan growth through face to face appointments with customers, outbound calling, and participating on external business development calls with other partnersParticipate in market, civic, government, professional, business, community affairs, associations and groups to prospect and develop new business through community involvement and build the brandDemonstrate and provide oversight to assure the effective and consistent application of retail operating model defined behaviors, skills, and toolsActively participate in executing the branch’s strategic plan to grow core deposits and loans, fee incomeOversee branch associate action planning, sets expectations, and assesses performanceMaintain a high level of employee morale to minimize turnover and maximum customer service satisfactionResponsible for ensuring deposit and loan growth to obtain the bank’s growth objectives by promoting the bank’s products and services.Oversee the quality of consumer and business products sales and servicingEffectively identify and submit quality referrals to branch associates, internal partners (mortgage, community banking, treasury services, etc.), and vendor partners (credit card, merchant services, insurance, etc.)Oversee the quality of customer service and relationship management actions and decisionsConsistently deliver exceptional customer experiencesAssure safety and wellness standards are in place and practiced consistently and effectivelyResponsible for branch operations effectiveness by setting expectations for all branch associatesOversee adherence to the bank and regulatory policies and proceduresAssure systems and facilities are maintainedJOB REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or equivalence required, associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent field preferredPrevious experience in a financial institution or similar professional or retail services industry requiredSuccessful customer service and sales experience requiredProven leadership capability in a prior position requiredSuccessful account/relationship management experience requiredSuccessful operations experience a plus
