The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with acute and chronic medical conditions, ensuring safe and effective treatment in a fast-paced hospital environment.The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, excellent telemetry interpretation skills, and the ability to manage patients with complex medical needs. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care in a PCU/Telemetry settingMonitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry dataAssess patient condition and respond appropriately to changes in statusAdminister medications and treatments per physician ordersDevelop and implement individualized nursing care plansCollaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teamsMaintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructionsEnsure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control proceduresParticipate in rapid response and emergency situations as neededPatient PopulationThe RN may care for patients with:Cardiac conditions requiring telemetry monitoringCongestive heart failure (CHF)ArrhythmiasRespiratory disordersPost-operative recovery needsSepsis and other acute medical conditionsComplex chronic illnesses requiring progressive care monitoringRequired QualificationsActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio or compact state licenseMinimum 2 years of recent PCU/Telemetry nursing experienceCurrent BLS certification (American Heart Association)Current ACLS certification (American Heart Association)Strong telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation skillsExperience with EMR systems preferredAbout Encode INCAt Encode, we empower organizations and individuals through innovative, human-centric workforce and technology solutions.
