Sales Engineer - Fault Monitoring (Northeast US)

Sales Engineer selling fault monitoring equipment used by electric utilities for locating, predicting, and preventing grid faults. The fault monitoring equipment:● Finds fault locations within seconds and predicts potential problems before they happen.● Optimize grid operations, reduce downtime, and enhance safety. ● Operates on medium and high voltage gridsJob content and duties● Expand sales throughout assigned territory by calling on electric utilities ● New customer acquisition● Develop proposals for customers● Attend conferences and trade showsRequirements● Ideally based in the Northeast US or willing to travel extensively to the area. ● 5+ years of experience selling to the electrical power industry particularly in US power grid technologies used on distribution and transmission systems● Ability to teach and relate ideas or concepts to individuals with varied levels of experience● B.S. Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience in the field of electric power engineering● Experience in working with network protection, automation & control devices, IT and data communicationsBenefitsSalary up to $150,000 (DOE) with total compensation potential of $200,000+
