Job Title: Paralegal – Social Security Disability (SSDI) Location: Remote Contract: 3–6 Month ContractAbout the Role We are seeking an experienced Paralegal with a strong background in Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) to support a busy legal team handling disability claims. This is a fully remote, 3–6 month contract ideal for someone who understands the SSDI process end-to-end and can step in quickly to help manage an active caseload.Key ResponsibilitiesManage SSDI and SSI disability cases from intake through hearing preparationPrepare and submit documentation to the Social Security Administration (SSA)Request, review, and organize medical records and supporting documentationDraft correspondence, case summaries, and hearing briefsMaintain accurate case files and track important deadlinesCommunicate with clients, medical providers, and SSA representativesAssist attorneys with Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) hearing preparationEnsure compliance with SSA filing procedures and documentation requirementsRequired Experience3+ years experience working with SSDI/SSI disability casesStrong knowledge of SSA processes and disability claim proceduresExperience preparing cases for ALJ hearingsAbility to manage a high-volume caseloadExperience obtaining and reviewing medical recordsSkills & QualificationsExcellent organizational and case management skillsStrong written and verbal communication abilitiesHigh attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlinesProficiency with legal case management systems and Microsoft OfficeAbility to work independently in a remote environmentPreferredExperience working at a disability law firm or SSDI advocacy organizationFamiliarity with SSA electronic filing systems (EDCS / eView)Paralegal certification or relevant legal trainingThe ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information from various cases at the firm. This candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized.
