SAP Business Objects Reporting Analyst

Reporting Analyst W/ BO Exp / Business Objects Analyst / BI Analyst The Business Analytics Team accesses an on-premise-hosted version of SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform to provide reporting and obtain analytical insights from the IBS Core. The team manages a centralized reporting queue to inventory and satisfy reporting requests from business units. We are looking for a report writer with deep experience with SAP BusinessObjects to assist in analyzing and fulfilling reporting requirements for various business units across the organization. The individual should have extensive knowledge of formulas that can be applied to reports in Business Objects. Preferably, this individual will also have experience with FIS Business Intelligence Center ("BIC"). Experience designing or modifying universe(s) is not required. This individual will assess feasibility of reporting requests, meet with relevant stakeholders to understand specific needs, gather requirements, and translate requirements into data sets/reports in a timely manner. The Analyst is expected to manage the full lifecycle of requests, including research, report design, development, testing, etc.Manage lifecycle of reporting requests, including research (such as interviews with subject matter experts), report design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation Collaborate with end users to identify underlying needs to determine validity of request and best approach to satisfy business need Analyze and troubleshoot existing reports, monitor and schedule BIC reports using scheduler tool, create new reports in line with departmental policies, communicate technical needs with non-technical audiences, etc Utilize knowledge of Business Objects report formulas to manipulate data in report output, as universe structure and data model cannot be alteredExtensive experience with SAP BusinessObjects Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience investigating and developing an understanding of business areas where information may not be readily available Effective time management skills, including accurately communicating deadlines Experience gathering/analyzing requirements and translating them into detailed functional specifications Understanding of banking industry and its core operating platforms preferred Preferred experience with FIS Business Intelligence Center "BIC" candidates with FIS IBS would be great! BusinessObjects and FIS BIC, experience with the FIS IBS Core Platform and Business Objects reporting.
