Associate Engineer, Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Overview
As an entry-level Electrical Engineer in DC Power, you will support Vertiv's Modular Power Converters through hands-on learning and cross-team collaboration. You’ll build deep product knowledge, assist with application documentation, and respond to customer inquiries to enable reliable DC power solutions. This development role leads toward a senior customer-facing position, with mentored exposure to lab work and technical escalation. You’ll contribute to technical bulletins and training content while expanding your DC power ecosystem expertise. ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support for DC power distribution systems (distribution panels, power conversion modules, controllers)Respond to customer and field service inquiries – configuration guidance, basic troubleshooting, documentation lookupTriage complex issues and escalate to senior team membersCreate and update technical bulletins, application notes, troubleshooting guides, and customer-facing documentationMaintain technical support knowledge base and develop product training materials under guidance of senior engineersParticipate in customer calls and technical meetings with senior engineers to build product and customer knowledgeDevelop understanding of full DC power ecosystem: distribution panels, power conversion modules, controllers, and adjacent products
Key requirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field1+ years of experience including internship/co-op in power electronics or power systemsFoundational knowledge of DC circuits, power conversion concepts, and electrical protectionProficiency with oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, and standard test equipmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsEagerness to learn complex systems and develop deep product expertiseStrong written and verbal communicationEagerness to learn and develop expertiseCollaborative and cross-functional communicationOscilloscopesDMMsPower supplies
