Financial Clearance Representative

A company is looking for a Financial Clearance Representative L2 (OON/Special Coverages). Key Responsibilities Facilitates customer interactions using health information systems and telephone technology to ensure a seamless experience Verifies patient eligibility and coverage with payors and obtains necessary precertifications and authorizations Maintains relationships with medical staff and ensures accurate information is provided for billing and reimbursement Required Qualifications Associates degree or higher, or high school diploma/GED with 2+ years of experience in insurance, healthcare, or a related field Knowledge of coding, insurance, and billing/reimbursement requirements Experience with PC applications including MS Office and the Internet Ability to maintain employer training requirements Professionalism and the ability to handle sensitive situations effectively
