Job Title: Senior Engineering ManagerLocation: Seymour, CTJob Type: Full-Time, On-SiteRole Overview:As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will oversee engineering projects and teams, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery. Your role will involve managing technical processes, supporting new product introductions, and collaborating with various departments to maintain and enhance manufacturing capabilities.Key Responsibilities:Communication and Professionalism:o Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, customers, and stakeholders.o Maintain organization and professionalism, adapting to various instructions and tasks.Technical Management:o Oversee document control and project management, ensuring timely completion.o Manage SMT equipment, including programming and troubleshooting.o Interpret x-ray images and manage reflow profiles.o Utilize AutoCAD or SolidWorks for design and debugging.o Conduct defect review and root cause analysis.Technology Development:o Assist in researching industry trends and establishing technology roadmaps.o Monitor market requirements and technological impacts.Sales & Customer Support:o Partner with the sales team and provide technical support during the prospecting process.o Contribute to quoting processes and manage client relationships.New Product Introduction:o Support documentation control and new product processes.o Ensure quality, reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.Operations Support:o Assist with new equipment selection and validation planning.o Provide technical support to manufacturing engineering teams.Qualifications:Education:o Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Experience:o Minimum of 10 years in electronic manufacturing services, with at least 5 years in new product introductions.o Extensive knowledge of SMT manufacturing and PCBA processes.o Client/customer facing experience required.Skills:o Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).o Experience with PCB design and CAD tools (Valor, Cadence, Cam 350, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).o Lean/Six Sigma experience; Black Belt certification preferred.o Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.o Experience in regulated industries (aerospace, defense, medical device) preferred.Language and Mathematical Skills:Ability to read and write in English, perform basic mathematical operations, and understand instructions.
