Drayage Fleet Manager

Dart Transit Company/Dart Intermodal has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and dedicated professional as a Fleet Manager in Memphis, TN. The schedule for this position will be Monday- Friday 7:30AM - 4:30PM.Responsibilities of a Fleet Manager include but are not limited to:Maintain a positive and productive relationship with driversSchedule and dispatch driversBe the primary communications link to driver, including, but not limited to, load information, maintenance coordination and performance counseling.Responsible for assigned fleet of tractors and drivers,including, but not limited to effective management for optimum performance in the following categories:On-time pickup and delivery performanceOut of route milesHours of service complianceDriver availabilityAccommodation of special routing needsCost controlEnsure that each driver has an adequate understanding of all details of customer and company expectations on each load at the point of dispatch and delivery.Daily accounting of all assigned trucks and drivers.Provide up to date and accurate information to customer as necessaryDesired Skills and Experience for a Fleet Manager:Fleet Management experience is a plus but not required1+ year of career experienceStrong computer skills and fluencyA high degree of professionalismExcellent customer service and communication skillsThe ability to make quick decisions in a fast paced environment.A four-year college degree in Transportation and Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business or Liberal Arts is preferred.Dart Intermodal, Inc. is part of the Dart Network of companies.
