We have (11) offices in Texas: (2) offices in Houston (Corporate and River Oaks,) and (1) office in Atascocita, Humble, Kingwood, The Woodlands, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, Fort Worth, and Humble.As a Legal Assistant II at the Law Office of Bryan Fagan, you’ll work closely with attorneys and paralegals to provide high-level administrative and legal support across a variety of practice areas. If you’re looking for a supportive environment with room for advancement, we want to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesA minimum of 1,500 billable hours per calendar year is required to maintain good standingMonitor deadlines and maintain attorney calendars, including court dates and hearings.Respond to client calls and emails promptly and professionally.Assist attorneys with daily tasks such as scheduling, correspondence, and document management.Provide backup support to other legal support team members as needed.Assist in preparing monthly client status reports and reviewing time entries for accuracy.Track and confirm that all upcoming deadlines and hearings are calendared and prepared for.Perform other administrative and legal support duties as assigned.Attend and participate in daily morning meetings and weekly team meetings.Conduct regular docket checks and maintain updated records.Draft and send weekly docket check letters and monthly client status letters.Organize and maintain electronic and physical client files.Gather, track, and update client documentation and financial information.Manage and update client inventories and supporting case documentation.Support the legal team with client binders and trial preparationManage and maintain the Attorney’s Case Review SheetAssist with updating the legal team’s calendarSkills, Knowledge and ExpertiseExcellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.Professional demeanor and a positive communicator.Excellent typing skills and computer literacy, including demonstrated competency on Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) and or Google Suite, Google Workspace, and Excel applications.Must have the ability to learn technical software to support the role.Demonstrate proficiency in focusing on details, handling multiple tasks, and remaining highly organized.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Requirements6 months - 3 years experience working in at least one or more of the following areas: family law, estate planning, probate, or civil litigation.Education: HS Diploma or GED.
